Introduction:

Pub since 1695.  Quaint and cosy, this is a popular village inn in the old style. Good beers to go with good food.

Brews:

Excellent selection of brews including Old Speckled Hen, Banks, Timothy Taylor Landlord on cask (plus different Guest Beers), with Boddingtons on keg.

Food:

Good food lunch and evenings (not Monday I believe). Home cooked. Got a name for their steak pies!

Down steps at Gurnett (Sutton) aqueduct (between br.43 and br.44).
By road, it's along Leek Road out of Macclesfield, left at Byrons Lane traffic lights, on the left just before the aqueduct.
